Continuing to Climb the Tower

After defeating the Daedra Seducer, we take a break in her room and use our long rest to get back to full.

After that, we head back up the tower, and are greeted by a lever puzzle.

Challenge

Pull the levers in the right order! (Perception) Casts-no-Shadow: Success, -1 Magicka Leanne: Success, -2 Magicka

We do pull the levers in the right order, and then head up the rest of the way to Medora's room.

We chat a bit about her predicament, and she tells us that the antimagic effect we'd encountered was keeping her there. So, Leanne pulls out the lamp, goes down and dispells the thing.

Challenge

Dispel the antimagic field! (Alteration) Leanne: Success!

With the antimagic field dispelled we're able to descend the rest of the way down the tower, while talking about the magical painting we saw depicting what we believe to be Lysandus's death.

However, once we got to the bottom of the tower, Medora was unable to leave because she is cursed to remain in the tower. Turns out in order to break the curse, we must locate a Unicorn's horn and use that. After some discussion we decide that contacting Hircine would be the best course of action and set off back to Morna's camp to discuss how to do that.

Quest

Find a unicorn horn and use it to break the curse.

Challenge

Get back to the camp in the dark: (Survival) All: Success, -2 traveler's kits

We got to the village easily, and that night Casts-No-Shadows has a vision of traveling into the Barrow where the King of Worms resides and he looks directly at him and says "I'll have need of your services soon."

Meanwhile, Terfir Lif is told by Morna that Hermeus Mora would let the group look in the Ognam Infernum if she can convince Leanne to stop worshipping Akatosh. A long conversation ensues....

She didn't exactly succeed, but she didn't fail either. Regardless, we meet up with the ship, Casts places a mark on the deck, and we set sail to the small coastal village of Green Flower which is on the way to the Ilessan Hills.

Challenge

Make it to the hills Casts: Success, -1 health Terfir: Success, -2 Traveler's kits Leanne: Success

We come across a farm with a windmill, where they grind down a kind of bright red wheat. We ask the farmer, directly, for directions to the shrine to Hircene. He isn't surprised at all, and suggests that we can find some deer or a bear to offer to Hircene.

We head up into the wilderness and need to make a perception check

Skill Use

Perception, everyone

Leanne and Casts notice tell-tale signs of a bigger animal, bear tracks, which lead up to what looks like a den. Small alcove in the hills.

We decide that sneaking up on the Bear was the best course of action, so we did just that.

Fight

Killing a bear! Casts: Auto succeeds on a backstab Bear: Attacks Casts, who uses Dodge to get the hell out of the way Leanne: Slashes at it with a sword, fail Terfir: Frostbolts the bear, and it dies

Skill Use

Casts uses (Restoration) to heal Leanne

We killed the bear, and took its hide as an offering to Hircene.

Next session, we'll go find ourselves a unicorn.
